What a great Ballroom it was on Friday. Some really great live performances and a fantastic atmosphere throughout. Sportsbag were on fine form - I think the best set yet from the fellas. So a big thanks to all who made it down and especially Nathan, Jamie and Adam aka Sportsbag.

Apologies to the few people who didn’t get to play. It’s hard trying to give everyone a fair chance but I think the balance is just about right. If 16 acts play it means everyone up on stage gets a decent audience - the alternative is to let everyone play and go on late. The reason I’ve decided against this is that in the past we’ve had people playing to a half empty room at 10 to midnight. This just isn’t fair to the people that have drawn the short straw and played last. This is also why I only let people sign up to play from 8pm and not before - all in the interest of democracy. If people don’t get to play one month they get 1st dibs for next time…

Anyhoo - a cracking night. Heres to many more. See you on the first Friday of the month. Pictures coming soon.

As it’s the May bank holiday this weekend, we’re celebrating the only way we know. That’s right, the legendary Sportsbag DJs are joining us for this Friday’s Acoustic Ballroom!

We’ve got a late license so the live music will be followed by some unadulterated Hot Sportsbag Action!

Brrr - it’s a bit bloody parky,

Don your finest winter coat, put on your new Christmas scarf, brave the elements and head down to the Portcullis Club this Friday for one of the best acoustic nights around - The Acoustic Ballroom. Oh yes - we’re back baby!
