Live online open mic! To be in the audience or to perform you must register for the Zoom meeting in advance - click here to register and receive joining instruction. Audience - you won't be able to turn your mics on, but please feel free to keep your video on and also join in with the comments. Performers - please contact me in advance to request a slot (usually 2 songs). You will receive a running order on Friday afternoon sometime. Performers - tech tip - go to ‘advanced’ in preferences and ‘disable’ everything. And then click ‘turn on original sound’ on the main screen. If you're using an external mic make sure it's set to the right setting (straight line) and directional not surround.

We're back for more online open mic action on Friday 5th June at 8.30pm. We're sticking with Zoom - please register before the event by following the link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZ0lf-CtpzwsH9LSH0bvKmWM9Rxz5SgpRPi3 Performers - please contact me in advance to book a spot on [email protected] Zoom works on many devices so everyone should be able to take part. Mics will be muted for everyone apart from whoever is performing, but please feel free to keep your video on as well as taking part in the live chat. It really helps to keep the lovely atmosphere of the Ballroom alive. Of course, if you'd rather keep your video off please do - everyone is welcome to participate in whatever way feels most comfortable! (Pro-tip - connect speakers). Performers - if you do have any kind of mic that you can plug into your device/laptop then that would be great. If not then that's totally fine too. I'd recommend that louder performers don't play too close to your laptop/device to avoid the sound distorting. But please don't get hung up on this - the main thing is that it's just lovely to see you all there and to keep the Ballroom going during this crazy situation!  |
